Eligibility: IAPA defines an individual of Indian Descent/Heritage as someone who was a citizen of India prior to coming to the USA or Canada, or if not a Citizen of India, at least one parent or grandparent is/was Citizen of India as defined by Government of India at any time in life. All mental health professionals of Indian descent/heritage (e.g. psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, guidance counselors, marriage counselors, substance abuse counselors, clergy, pharmacist, psychiatric office managers, psychiatric IT support staff and academicians etc.), practicing in USA or Canada Psychiatrists of Indian descent/origin practicing in another country Psychiatrists of non-Indian descent, practicing in USA or Canada Non-psychiatric physicians of Indian descent/heritage practicing in USA or Canada Non-psychiatric non-Indian descent/heritage physicians if spouse is a General Member Allied mental health professional of non-Indian origin practicing in USA or Canada if spouse is General Member. Psychiatrist who is eligible for general membership of IAPA will not be eligible for associate membership The price for membership is $250.00
