MINUTES FROM THE MEETING ON OCTOBER 23, 2010
CALL TO ORDER- On October, 23rd at 4.15pm
REVIEW OF MINUTES- Amend the minutes from the last meeting to add the following-
NEW BUISNESS-
1. President issues- membership confirmation, seed money
2. Treasurer issues-
- how much money does the IAPA give to the chapters from the lifetime dues that are paid
- call the treasurer of the IAPA to get information about – seed money, how do individual chapters collect money, setting up bank accounts, do we register as not-for-profit organization, what tax ID number do we use- national or apply for one, does the parent organization have an account separate for chapters, what address would be used to set up the account.
3. Dr. Raikhelkar will send all the names and emails that he has access to for the psychiatrists in Arizona.
4. ELECTIONS OF NEW OFFICE MEMBERS-
- Thomas Cyriac, MD- President
- Padma Aking, MD- Vice-president
- Shabnam Sood, MD – Secretary
- Jayant Geethe, MD- Treasurer
- 8 members were present and 7 were voting
- elections in the future will coincide with the elections of the IAPA in May 2013
5. Set up a mailing list to be distributed to all members
6. IAPA supports and promotes various academic activities at the APA including posters, research and grants available for the members of the IAPA members.
7. future meetings will have guest speakers
8. NEXT MEETING-

- next meeting December 11th at 4.00pm, venue to be decided
